| Backing up & Restoring your Database |
NOTE - This section does not apply to SQL Server databases. For SQL Database backup/restore procedures, contact your SQL Server Administrator.
It is recommended to store your database on a network drive that is backed up on a regular basis. If you need to manually backup the database use the method described below.
Backing up the Database
- Backing up the database requires exclusive access to the database. Make sure all other users have exited Mouse Tracks
- From the Tools menu choose Backup Database
- Select the location and the name of the backup file
- Click Save
- A message box will appear with the results of the operation.
Restoring an Access Database
- Restoring the database requires exclusive access to the current database. Make sure all other users have exited Mouse Tracks.
- From the Tools menu choose Restore Database
- Browse to select the Access Database File (.mdb) file that you wish to restore
- You will be prompted to confirm this decision
- A message box will appear with the results of the operation
